I’ve required extensive physiotherapy due to a life a chronic injuries/illness from
complex Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and for rehabilitation after 12 surgeries (4 on my spine) over the last 8 years. It’s been a challenging path. Sinead supported me through all of this. I continue to strengthen by taking her classes and following a goal-oriented plan we co-created. I need motivation and focus, which I get from participating in her classes. Sinead explains all exercises in relationship to our daily activities – with a special interest to keep us active as we age. As I deconditioned, Sinead as placed me in the appropriate class for my development, and when pain or injury limit us, she finds alternative ways to accomplish the exercises. For me, she recommends resistance to help me feel tension – the feedback I’m not getting from my hypermobile joints, nerves, muscles, ligaments, etc. With Sinead’s observation and advice, I’m better at pacing, and at managing my severe, chronic pain.
Thank you, Sinead!
